(formerly called shadowless cloud desktop) is a relatively mature one in terms of ecology and experience. Whether it is to use it to move the office, hang up and run scripts, or to configure the development environment for the company's employees in batches, shadowless can come in handy.
However, people who enter the Aliyun console for the first time are easily blinded by the professional terms (what kind of work area, fine image, security policy) on the full screen. Today's tutorial does not talk about the concept of virtual, but goes directly to dry goods, and takes you to create, configure and use your shadowless cloud computer from scratch.
The first stage: type selection to avoid pits (must see before buying)

Personal Edition
and
Enterprise Edition
.
Personal version (save trouble, choose this for personal entertainment office): out of the box, the management interface is extremely simple. You don't need to know any network configuration, just like buying a mobile phone, choose the configuration, pay for it, and log in to the client. Internet account (Alipay/Taobao/mobile phone number) login directly.
Enterprise Edition (team collaboration, security control, complex network choose this): extremely powerful. It supports unified management of employee accounts (it can restrict employees from plugging in U disks and reading certain websites) and supports intranet intercommunication. Even if you only use it alone, if you want to connect your cloud computer to your existing Aliyun server (ECS), you must buy the enterprise version.
The vernacular suggests: if you just want to get a temporary clean system to hang software and move the office, buy the personal version directly. If you need to link with the company's server, or need to fine-tune management data permissions, choose Enterprise Edition.
Let's take the enterprise version with higher flexibility and relatively complex concepts as an example for the whole process teaching. We have learned the enterprise version and can use the personal version with our eyes closed.
The second stage: opening and creating the whole step (5 minutes)
1. New Workspace (Workspace)
In the enterprise edition, the "workspace" is the father of the cloud computer, and any cloud computer must belong to a workspace. It determines which region your computer is in and what network it uses.
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud console, search for and enter Shadowless Cloud Computer (Enterprise Edition).
In the left navigation bar, click Secure Office Network (formerly the workspace), and then click Create Office Network.
Key parameter configuration: region: select the place closest to your physical distance (for example, you choose east China 2 in Shanghai). the lower the delay, the better the mouse and feel.

Type: Select advanced office network (the system will automatically help you to divide the private network IP, worry-free). Billing method: the default is free, the workspace itself does not charge money, only the cloud computer inside charges money.
Click OK, wait for 1 minute, and the state will become "normal.
2. Create User
Enterprise Edition cannot
Directly use the Aliyun main account to log on to the computer, you must assign a "user" account to the computer.
In the left-side navigation pane, click User Management-> Create User.
Fill in the user name (such as zhangsan), mobile phone number or email.
Permissions remain default, click OK. This user name is your credentials for later login to the client.
3. Formal purchase and creation of cloud computers
With the workspace and users, you can finally assemble the computer.
In the left navigation bar, click Cloud Computer Management-> Cloud Computer, and click Create Cloud Computer.
Select the office network (workspace) you just created.
Configuration specification selection: ordinary office (2-core 4G/4-core 8G): look at web pages, engage in Office, and write light code. Professional/high matching (8 cores and 16G or more): run large-scale compilation and open more scripts. GPU type: cut video, run 3D rendering or choose this for simple AI alchemy.
Mirror selection (operating system):Windows Server (with desktop experience): most people are used to it and it is convenient to do anything. Ubuntu / Alibaba Cloud Linux: Suitable for pure development environments.
Public network bandwidth (core saving point): cloud computers cannot access the external network by default! If you need to enable this computer to download software and view web pages, you must check the Enable Internet Access. If it is for personal temporary use, choose to charge according to the flow meter, the bandwidth is pulled to the highest (for example, 10Mbps-50Mbps), and the speed is still fast as much as it costs. If it is a long-term on-hook download, select fixed bandwidth.
Assign Users: In the "Associated Users" list, check the user you just created (such as zhangsan).
Click to place an order and pay. Back to the console, you will see that the cloud computer is "creating", about 3-5 minutes, the status will change to "running".
Phase 3: Connection and first use (3 minutes)

The computer is turned on in the cloud, how do we get in? No shadow provides a full platform client.
1. Download the client
Go to shadowless official website to download the client corresponding to your current device. It supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and even
Browser web version

2. First login activation
Open the client and you will see the interface shown above:
Switch to Enterprise Edition.
Enter the office network ID (Workspace ID). This ID can be directly copied on the "Secure Office Network" page of the Alibaba Cloud console, which is usually a string similar to cn-shanghai dir-xxxx.
Click Next and enter the username you just created (if zhangsan).
When logging in for the first time, the system will send a link or verification code to reset the password to the mobile phone/email you filled in, and set your own login password.
3. Boot
After logging in successfully, you will see one
A card with the name of your cloud computer (such as "Windows 11 office computer"). Click on the card
Connection
Button.
In an instant, a whole new desktop will be rolled out in full screen. Congratulations, you are sitting in front of the cloud computer.
Stage 4: Advanced Configuration and Pit Avoidance Guide
After entering the system, there are several hard bones to chew, which is also a place where many people often step on the pit.
1. Resolve Catton and image quality blur
The silky degree of shadowless depends entirely on your local internet speed. If you feel the mouse floating, or paint batter:
Move your mouse to the suspended toolbar at the top of the cloud computer screen.
Find Settings-> Display/Performance.
Picture quality priority: suitable for still looking at pictures and doing design.
Fluency Priority (Recommended): The bit rate will be automatically and dynamically adjusted according to your network speed.
If you are using Wi-Fi locally, try to connect 5G frequency band, 2.4G Wi-Fi serious channel interference will cause cloud computers to lose packets frequently.
2. How do local and cloud computers transfer files?
Shadowless has clipboard and file transfer sharing turned on by default.
Method A: Copy a file directly on the local computer (Ctrl C), click the mouse into the desktop of the cloud computer, and paste directly (Ctrl V).
Method B: There is a floating ball/file transfer function in the floating toolbar. Click to upload local files directly to the designated directory in the cloud.
Note: If you find that you cannot copy and paste, it means that it is disabled by default in the "Policy" of the Enterprise Edition. You need to go back to the ariyun console and change "clipboard" and "local disk mapping" to "bidirectional permission" in "policy management".
3. Save money big move: automatic sleep and timing shutdown
If the cloud computer is paid by the amount (deducted by the hour), it must be turned off when not in use, otherwise the balance in the account will evaporate like running water.
In the Alibaba Cloud console, find Policy Management and create or modify a policy.
Find scheduled tasks/automatic shutdown.
It is strongly recommended to configure: "Automatic shutdown after 15 minutes of disconnection". In other words, when you directly fork the client, the cloud computer will automatically turn off after 15 minutes and stop billing.
